The mailman delivered a BIG package to our front door the other day...and it was addressed to Miss Finley!

Sick Day

Last Monday, I had both boys home for the day, sick with colds.  They are such good boys!  We had a jammie day, enjoyed some cartoons, played trucks/tractors A LOT, and even took a nap!

A treat for these two is to play the "Tom Cat" app on my phone...

I'm not sure if that's what it's really called or not, but that is what Ace calls it!

They both laugh as the cat repeats everything they say...

and really laugh when the dog comes out and "toots"!  UFF!

I am amazed at how quickly these little ones figure out technology!

Both dogs seemed to pout the entire day!  :)  

I know it was because we disrupted their nap schedule!

Jammie Day?

You've probably noticed that in many of the pictures posted, Ace is wearing these green striped jammies...they are his favorite!  He has literally worn holes in the feet and pretty soon they will no longer be "feety" pajamas!  The hinder is worn very thin too!  :)

Most days the first thing out of Ace's mouth is "is it a jammie day?"  

I thought he would love some new, green jammies for his birthday...NOPE!

...but they were quickly thrown aside!

He did love his new Tonka tee though!  :)

Snow!

We have A LOT of snow...A LOT!  I'm beyond ready for Spring to get here...but as I look around, I know it will be a while before all the snow melts!  And then I think of how sloppy it will be before we can truly enjoy Spring!  So...we might as well have fun in the snow for now!  :)

Brent took the kiddos outside last night and made a tunnel through 

one the snow banks piled high by the golf course!

They had a lot of fun!

I'm confident Daddy had all under control!  :)

A BIG Kiss!

Our neighbor brought the kiddos a special belated Valentine treat the other day...

A HUGE chocolate kiss!

Ace chose the top...

AJ has such a sweet tooth...

...just like his big sister!  :)

Ace decided to just go for it and shoved the whole thing in his mouth!

After taking a knife to the kiss to get each kid a "chunk" I decided it might have been easier to just play "pass the chocolate" and let each kid take a bite...which might be how we finish it off!  :)

Happy Birthday Ace!

We celebrated Ace's 3rd Birthday yesterday...

He chose to have a John Deere themed party!

On Saturday, Ace helped me make his lawn/lawnmower cake!

His job was to put all the ingredients in the mixing bowl...and he even got to hold the hand mixer!  

He was very proud of himself!  He also helped me get the frosting to just the right shade of green!

I attempted to have his name and the number 3 "cut" out of the lawn...

But in the end decided to go with just a small patch of cut grass!

He was very excited to have some special friends over that afternoon!

The menu consisted of all his favorites:  hot dogs, mac n cheese, Cheetos, 

Great-Grandma's pickles, fruit, and mint M & M's!  :)

Ace is such a sweet boy!  He is always full of smiles, loves trucks/tractors, loves cartoons (Shrek & The Land Before Time are two of his favorites!), adores his big sister, blames a lot on his little brother these days, talks just as much as Finley...if you ever get the chance to hear a story from him, take it and allow yourself to melt into his BIG eyes!...he loves the color green, and could wear feety pajamas all day, every day!  Ace is anxious for the snow to melt away so he can ride on Daddy's lawnmower, play in the sandbox, and swing the new lefty golf clubs he got from Nana & Papa for his birthday!

He chose to open the BIG present first!  :)

And AJ was quick to help him lift the BIG box of popcorn he received!

And YES...he got a green toothbrush!  Which was all he asked for this year!

Sprouts

So after a couple weeks, we finally have a few sprouts on our Chia Gnome!

The process has taken too long and the kids have lost interest...

Brent faithfully waters him every morning and 

I check to see if the seeds around his face have sprouted yet!  :)

Cookies!

Perry called tonight and said, "Jenn, Brent like Oreo cookies, right?"  YES!  "I'm going to bring over a box for him then in five minutes."  Okay...

I guess I assumed a package of Oreos...

But Perry literally meant a BOX!

The four of them dug in this box for a couple minutes!
