Spring Break in Florida

Finley, Ace, and I traveled to Florida for a long weekend visit with Grandma & Grandpa.  The kids traveled extremely well and, as always, our time together went too fast!
Hanging out in the CWA Airport before our flight
Excited to be at Grandma & Grandpa's...and excited that they had a truck to play with!
 "We made it!"
 Sassy!
 Trying on Grandpa's sun hat...
We're in the "monkey see, monkey do" stage! :)
Grandpa & Finley watching the monkeys at the zoo
 Ace watching the birds
When we left the zoo I asked each kid what their favorite animal was...Ace quickly responded "CHICKEN!"
Here he is watching his favorite chicken!
He wanted to get past the fence to pet the chicken!
Here the chicken is coming over to him...but I didn't know if it would peck at him and frighten him, so I quickly picked Ace up!
 Watching the penguin feeding...
Smelled a little too fishy for me! :)
Finley's favorite animals were the elephants & giraffes...

Ace thought it was too bright to look at them! :)
I think I liked this guy the best...does anyone else ever feel like this little guy looks?  I do at about 8 pm every night!  :)
Uncle Justin knew that Ace would like to see the ostrich's!

 Llama, Llama...LOVES mama!  :)
On our way out of the zoo, Finley panicked because, "it's too hot!"  So, we let the kids put their feet in the little fountains...which quickly turned into...

 ...two very wet kiddos!  :)
Ace and Uncle Justin shot baskets quite often...and Justin was SO impressed with Ace's ability to throw the ball behind the TV every time he got it!  HA!

 Tackle him!
A REAL train ride for Ace's 2nd birthday!

I think he was more excited than it appears!  :)

 Excited little boy!  :)

 Sleepy boy!  :)

And more trains to play with!  :)

My Boys

These pictures make me laugh...

I love the pouty face Ace is giving...or is he giving AJ the evil eye?  :)

Oh...and now he's digging for gold!  That boy!

Making Supper

One night last week, the kids helped me make supper.  We made mini pizzas!  I rolled out biscuit dough and allowed the kids to put on their own sauce, spread out their own sauce, grab their own cheese, and put on as many toppings as they wanted!  Overall, things went well...until Ace decided he couldn't wait for his pizza to cook and ate his cheese...and then, he decided Finley's cheese looked good too!  :)

The kids watching as Mommy rolls out the dough.

Ace was tempted to eat the raw dough...but luckily waited for the cheese!

Patting her dough out a little more..."to make it perfect!"  :)

The Computer

The other night Finley asked to go on the computer...I quickly realized, I have never let her play on the computer and we better get going before Pre-K in the fall!  I took the kids to the pbs.com website and they played a match game together.  They both sat very contently, laughing together.  Finley was a whiz with the mouse...I asked if she played on the computer at Lynn's house?  She responded, "No, I just watch Makenna play."  She has never used a mouse before, but caught on SO quickly...in no time, she will be teaching ME about technology!

Finley and Ace playing a game of match together.

Her little hand and fingers knew just what to do!

She even gave her little brother a turn!
