Winter Wonderland

Last weekend we received about 6 inches of snow...maybe more.  It was such a heavy, wet snow that sat perfectly on all of the trees.  I always say I'd like to take Christmas pictures after a snow like this...maybe one year it will happen!

We made a run to Wal-Mart and each of the kids got a shovel to help clear the driveway!

Now...if only they would make mittens that stayed dry...and on!

 My little angel...

 ...making a snow angel!

 Throwing snowballs at the girls!

I see Finley was all smiles to take a picture with Mommy!

2 Months

AJ is growing SO fast!  He had his 2 month checkup on Friday and is 14 lb. 10 oz. and 24" long.  These measurements place him in the 94% for weight and 78% for length!

New "Do"!

I spent a couple hours on Tuesday catching up with my good friend, Chelsea, and left her salon a new woman... I am loving my shorter, darker hair!  :)

SMILES!

The other night Finley and I were going over her Awana lesson for the week.  It was about promises and used Noah's Ark as an example - God promised to never flood the lands again and rainbows are a reminder of His promise.  Finley and I each gave an example of a promise:

Mommy:  After dance class next week, I promise to take you for ice cream!

Finley:  Mommy, I promise to love you forever!

Mommy:  Finley...that is a great promise, and I promise to love you forever too!

Finley:  Mommy, do you know what would be really great?  (standing up)  God and Wonder Woman!

Mommy:  Yes Finley, that would be a great duo!  :)

On Saturday Finley and I went "bumming" in Marshfield.  When we were done shopping I took Finley to Starbuck's for a "treat" (a hot cocoa).  I planned on drinking our treats on the car ride home, but when I turned around Finley had already taken her jacket off and made herself cozy at a round table.  So I put my "to-do" list aside and sat down with my girlie!  When I sat down Finley turned to me and said, "So mommy, what should we talk about?"  OH...I love her!

'Tis the Season!

Our tree is up and decorated...our shopping is done...snow is in the forecast...the Holiday's are HERE!

Our tree is so pretty this year...we left over half of the ornaments in the tote!  I also gave up my OCDness and allowed the kids to place bulbs and allowed "color" on the tree rather than my usual black and gold theme!  (baby steps)  haha

 Ace admiring his work!

The Christmas Countdown bags hanging on our mantel...

I made 25 bags, filled them with treats, and if the kids eat well at supper they get to see what's inside one bag per night!

Stockings are hung...and AJ's is on order!

Day 1 and the kids both ate well...so they got to open the first bag...

...inside a small book for Ace and a bracelet for Finley!

Snuggled up with Daddy after a busy evening!

Looking so sweet in their "matching" snowmen jammies!

Happy Birthday!

On Tuesday we helped our friend, Rowan, celebrate his 2nd birthday!

 Ace enjoyed watching "Nemo" swim!

The kids sat at their own table and enjoyed pizza, cake and ice cream!

 Happy Birthday Rowan!

Zoe and Finley always have so much fun together!  They are both such nice girls!

Luck!

Perry got a buck this hunting season, but once again, Brent came home without anything to brag about.  But thankfully my hubby is perfectly content in helping his dad!  There's always next year!

Time with My Boys

On Wednesday evenings while Finley & Brent are at Awana, I am home with my two boys.  It's so nice to have the one-on-one conversations with Ace and to play with him in his bedroom.  It's usually tricky putting him to bed, but thankfully he doesn't seem to mind listening to AJ cry as he is being rocked.  :)

It's blurry, but Ace wanted to hold AJ...

...and then wanted to stick his finger in AJ's ear!  Uff!

Ace has the nicest, brown eyes!  Brent and I agree that they allow him to get away with an awful lot!  :)
Patiently lining up his "Chuck" trucks and Matchbox cars!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We have so much to be thankful for...I am thankful for my wonderful husband and kids...for our health...for all of our family and friends...for the roof over our head and the food we are able to put on the table every night...for the jobs we go to every day...I really could go on and on, but most of all, I am thankful for Our Savior, Jesus Christ!

AJ was feeling very festive on Thanksgiving!  :)

Finley and Ace sampled the turkey straight from the knife!  Mmmm!

Bad Hair Days

The kids had "silly hair day" at daycare.  Ace wore a mohawk...

...and Finley went with 10 ponytails again!

Ace's hair was getting pretty long until Miss Chelsea cleaned him up...but a mini-ponytail still fit one evening much to Finley's delight!  :)

Smiley Boy

Treats

The Sunday before Thanksgiving, Finley and I baked pumpkin cookies with cream cheese frosting...Mmmm!

Excited to sit down and taste her work!

Finley's cookie had the most sprinkles!

 Two thumbs up!

Ace didn't know what to do with his cookie...

 "I think I'll lick it!"

 "Or just smell it!"

After all was said and done, he ended up gobbling it up!

Silly Boy

One afternoon Ace was so proud to show me something...at first I couldn't tell what he was trying to point out, but after closer examination I saw that he had stuck a couple fruit snacks to his shirt!  He was very proud of himself...and a very sticky little boy!  :)

He Got It!
