Merry Christmas

So...the below pictures were my attempt to capture how cute the kids looked on Christmas Eve.  Best laid plans, right?  :)  And yes, I know that Christmas was well over a month ago!  Ha!

Goodbye For Now

I had good intentions; I was going to take a photo of Bernie every day as a reminder of where he appeared.  Well...Bernie was lucky to move each day.  Taking a photo was definitely an after thought towards the end!  Thankfully, I was smart and in the beginning I wrote down a list of about 25 ideas of where Bernie could turn up.  The list turned out to be quite useful at 6 am as I was fumbling through the house, trying not to wake the kids!  :)

The kids really enjoyed searching for Bernie each morning and throughout the course of the day they would peak at him, but never got too close.  Bernie was sweet and left each kid a book under the tree with a note sharing with them how well behaved they were and how he looked forward to returning next Christmas.  

They will bring him up every so often - "maybe Bernie will come to my birthday party!" or "I miss Bernie, I wish he would come visit."  

This was the last photo I had; Bernie having story time with some of the stuffed animals.  

He was reading a new book to the animals, but the kids missed that part!  ;)
