Treats...for ME!

Finley tried her hardest all day to convince the boys that Bernie brought her treats back from the North Pole...they were hers, and hers alone since he was in her stocking!  :)  In the end, we all shared!

Coloring...

Bernie worked hard one evening and colored each of the kids a picture.  Finley's response was, "Mom, he colors better than you even!"  :)

That morning Finley got right to work on a picture for Bernie...Hmmm?  :)

Joy Ride

Bernie had appeared in our living room every night, but one night switched things up and was in our bathroom.  Finley walked into our bedroom with tears in her eyes and said, "Mom, I can't find Bernie anywhere."  I simply said, "Relax.  Go to the bathroom and then we will look for him."  :)

So Sleepy...

The kids thought this one was funny...Bernie curled up inside a Kleenex box with a pillow made out of Kleenexes and a Kleenex blanket.  Finley did say, "Great, how am I supposed to blow my nose today?"  :)

Married?

Finley didn't know what to think about this one..."How did he get the car out of my room without me hearing?"  On the way to school I said, "Finley, I saw Barbie was wearing a wedding dress, do you think they got married last night?"  I thought she would just roll her eyes and tell me I was being silly, but instead she said, "I bet they DID!"  :)

Riding In On A...

...Dinosaur!  Bernie showed up at our house the next day riding a brontosaurus.  Finley thought it was funny, but Ace was a bit worried.  He said, "Mom, do you think I can play with my three horn today?" I explained that he better not just incase he were to bump Bernie.  He replied, "okay, I guess I'll play with my dinosaurs tomorrow."

He's Watching...

On December 1, an elf appeared on our fireplace mantel next to a book.  The kids woke up very confused, but excited!  I read the book...and so wish we would have recorded their reactions!  The book explained that the elf came from the North Pole via Christmas Magic and that he would be watching the kids to see if they were naughty or nice.  He would report back to Santa each night, again via Christmas Magic, and appear the next day in a new location.  As I was reading, Ace's eyes resembled my morning coffee...huge brown circles...and Finley's eyebrows were pinched as she was trying to soak all of this in.

The first thing the kids had to do was name the elf...to my amazement, AJ came up with the name:  Bernie.

And there is only one rule...nobody can touch Bernie or he will lose his Christmas Magic.

Stay tuned to see where Bernie has appeared...

So Nice...

The boys are ready for Christmas!  :)

Paw Patrol

Our kids are OBSESSED with a new show on Nickelodeon called Paw Patrol.  Obsessed.

AJ was the one that first discovered the cartoon...and asks to watch it as soon as he wakes up in the morning.  Lucky for us, he wakes up at 7:30 and it airs at that time!  :)

Finley will even curl up on the couch to watch!

Ace learned the theme song very quickly, so if you get the chance, ask him to sing it for you.
You won't be able to resist a smile!

And yes, Lambeau watches TV too, but doesn't growl at the cartoon dogs on Paw Patrol! :)

Happy Thanksgiving

I'm a bit behind in blog updates...life is busy, but good!  :)

Thanksgiving seemed to fly by.  We have much to be thankful for and it's nice to take the time to remember that!  Finley enjoyed a bit of a break from school and was thankful to spend a day with the boys at Lynn's house.  I enjoyed having a couple days off work and was thankful that Brent finally got a deer!  Yahoo!  :)

Finley modeling the Pilgrim hat she made in school.

And what is this...

A turkey hat of course! :)
