Mow the Lawn

Ace loves to sit on the lawn mower with Daddy...and he loves his little lawn mower toy that we have outside...because it's TOO NOISY to be an inside toy.  BUT it's now becoming TOO NOISY to be an outside toy too.  Ha!  This little guy pushes it all over the driveway, garage, lawn, wherever he can!  He loves it and is not phased at all by the excessively loud volume of noise it produces!  I think he can maybe sense deep down the annoyance it causes Brent and I...and that's why he loves it so much!  Hahaha!  :)

Too Big?

Does this mean he's too big for the bouncy seat?  :)

Awana

Awana wrapped up last Wednesday night.  The parents were invited for a special "Cubbie Award Ceremony" that night.  It was fun to walk into Finley's classroom and see her sitting at a table full of her friends/peers!  She looked so grown up!

Finishing up her snack!

Taking her seat and waiting for the ceremony to begin.

Accepting her award.  She did a wonderful job this year learning SO many bible verses.  I'm amazed at her memory and willingness to learn.  Rarely did she complain about sitting down to listen to the story or about repeating her verse throughout the course of the week.  She earned all of her patches and her special Cubbie Bear patch.

MORE Presents?

More and more presents trickled in after Finley's party...her cousins mailed her a package that arrived on Monday, a friend dropped a gift bag off on Tuesday, another friend brought a present to Mommy's work on Wednesday, AND she received another gift bag on Friday!  What a lucky girl!  :)

All Finley wanted this year was the Berry Bitty Clubhouse...she had been talking about it ever since Ace's birthday.  Brent and I decided that she could buy it with the birthday money she received.  So I took her shopping for it on Monday night.  When we got to the store she changed her mind and opted for the Berry Bitty Market instead.  SO when she opened up one of the presents she received last week and saw the Berry Bitty Clubhouse she was beside herself!

SO very excited to have BOTH the Market & Clubhouse!

Happy Birthday Princess!

Finley chose to have a princess theme for her 4th birthday!  It was a very busy weekend for all of us, but I think we all enjoyed every moment, and were all very tired on Sunday evening!  :)

Finley is such a girly girl!  She loves anything sparkly, ruffly, and everything having to do with princesses!

I love this...Finley reminds me of the fairy godmother!

AJ was ready for a party!

Finley jumped right in and opened a present before the party even got started!  :)

I cheated this year and purchased cupcakes for her party...

Happy Birthday Finley!

Ace pouted the entire time everyone sang "Happy Birthday" and then threw a tantrum because he wanted to blow out the candles...he also started the day off by telling Finley "it not your birthday!"  HA!

Papa giving Finley a push on her new bike!  A princess on a John Deere bike...Hmmm?!?

After a quick change of clothes, we all went outside to watch Finley test out her bike!

Even Ace thought the bike was pretty cool!

Finley & Zoe playing on the swingset

And Rowan & Ace playing with the trike...

They took turns so well!

Granny Patty showing Ace the proper hockey form!  :)

Brothers!

Ace did not want to pose for a picture next to AJ...

And it didn't help that AJ was very curious about Ace's fruit snacks!

Those grabby little hands are into everything these days!  AJ will be more fun for you in a few months Ace, I promise!  :)

Dance!

Finley's year of dance came to an end last weekend with the dance recital.  She did so well!  She had practice Friday night, two shows on Saturday, and photos on Monday.  Phew!  She enjoyed her year of classes and it was fun to watch her grow more and more confident with each week that passed.  She had so much fun and jumped at the chance to go again next Fall!

Finley and her dance class waiting behind stage for their turn to dance!

Listening to last minute instructions!

Finley was the first to run out on stage each time, the first to find her "mark", and the first to get going when the music started!  I was amazed at how brave she was and how she knew the dance! :)

Posing for Mommy before we left for the gym.

Finley's first time ever wearing makeup!

Pretty girl!

And Finley's first time getting her hair curled.

Sassy girl before we left for photos!  :)

Drooly Boy!

AJ's chin and the top part of his shirt is almost always soaked...a tooth has to be on it's way!

He's still super cute though if you ask me!  :)

Search & Find

Ace loves search & finds!  He is so patient and determined to find everything with "no help, I do it!"

Snuggly Bears!

 AJ - 6 1/2 mo.

Finley - 8 mo.

Lucky Kids!

Doesn't it seem like kids have everything these days?  I know it's not just my kids...right?  :)

Finley is wearing her 3-D glasses as she uses her 3-D chalk!  WHAT?!?

I wonder if they work upside down too?  Ha!

I remember swiping chalk from my classroom in elementary school to use as "sidewalk" chalk!

AJ - Almost 7 Months

AJ had his 6-month checkup today and he is a BIG boy!  :)  He weighed in at 20 lb. 8 oz. and was 28" long!  86/87%.  During his appointment the doctor found an "innocent" heart murmur.  Brent and I knew something was going on because she listened to him for what seemed like a really long time.  She then sat him up and listened some more.  She assured us that it's nothing to be concerned about, but that they will continue to monitor him.  She also encouraged us to let him "cry it out" again...yes, he is getting up AGAIN at night!  Once or twice a night...little stinker!  He loves his milk, loves to eat food, loves to watch Finley & Ace and so badly wants to be right in the mix with them!  He still rolls all over the room, laughs and talks all the time, has taken a couple crawling "steps", and enjoys sitting and playing with toys.

"Oh...I can't wait to get my hands on those toys!"

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone!

AJ looking SO cute on Easter Day!
An arm full of eggs...and still looking for MORE!
Taking a break to tear into a chocolate!
Looking for more blue & green eggs...I see a pile of purple & pink eggs on the floor!  Ace has some catching up to do!
Yeah - a tootsie roll!  :)
She's such a nice big sister...helping Ace find his eggs!
Ace found his Easter basket...
Go ahead and get it bud!
Checking out all the goodies!
And while I was snapping pictures of Ace...Finley went walking by with her basket in hand!  I guess the Easter bunny needs to work on his/her hiding skills for next year!
Pretty girl!
