Sometimes a Parent Can't Win...

The kids all slept in this morning and Brent made pancakes for all of us...that's my kind of morning!

Daddy made "special" pancakes for the kiddos...Ace loved it!

But Finley refused to sit down by her plate and CRIED!

Brent took whipped cream and made a smiley face...and used M & M's for the eys and nose...

But Finley wanted maple syrup...so Ace ate both special waffles!  M & M's first of course!  :)

*Finley did get more pancakes...with maple syrup!*

Party!

We had Ace's birthday party yesterday...it was an afternoon full of laughter!  :)

I attempted to make Thomas the Train cupcakes...

We enjoyed being out in the near 80-degree weather!

All of the kids played very well together!

More presents!?!?

Happy Birthday to YOU!  :)

Time to blow out the candles!

And eat the cupcakes!

Ace loved his Thomas cupcake...

And Lucy loved her James cupcake!  :)

Taking a break to play with his new tractors!

Wait...what's coming into the living room?

Papa with a new John Deere tractor!

Loving it!

Ace is TWO!

Last Wednesday (14th) was Ace's 2nd birthday!  He woke up early that morning, so I excitedly went to his room and got him.  I said, "Whose birthday is it today?"  He quickly responded, "Ace's!"  I then asked how old he was...and he responded, "TEN!"  Oh boy!  :)

Opening a present before leaving for Lynn's.

A birthday smile for Mommy

Checking out his present...

A Thomas book with all the little trains!

"Thanks Mommy & Daddy!"

Spring Break in Florida

Finley, Ace, and I traveled to Florida for a long weekend visit with Grandma & Grandpa.  The kids traveled extremely well and, as always, our time together went too fast!
Hanging out in the CWA Airport before our flight
Excited to be at Grandma & Grandpa's...and excited that they had a truck to play with!
 "We made it!"
 Sassy!
 Trying on Grandpa's sun hat...
We're in the "monkey see, monkey do" stage! :)
Grandpa & Finley watching the monkeys at the zoo
 Ace watching the birds
When we left the zoo I asked each kid what their favorite animal was...Ace quickly responded "CHICKEN!"
Here he is watching his favorite chicken!
He wanted to get past the fence to pet the chicken!
Here the chicken is coming over to him...but I didn't know if it would peck at him and frighten him, so I quickly picked Ace up!
 Watching the penguin feeding...
Smelled a little too fishy for me! :)
Finley's favorite animals were the elephants & giraffes...

Ace thought it was too bright to look at them! :)
I think I liked this guy the best...does anyone else ever feel like this little guy looks?  I do at about 8 pm every night!  :)
Uncle Justin knew that Ace would like to see the ostrich's!

 Llama, Llama...LOVES mama!  :)
On our way out of the zoo, Finley panicked because, "it's too hot!"  So, we let the kids put their feet in the little fountains...which quickly turned into...

 ...two very wet kiddos!  :)
Ace and Uncle Justin shot baskets quite often...and Justin was SO impressed with Ace's ability to throw the ball behind the TV every time he got it!  HA!

 Tackle him!
A REAL train ride for Ace's 2nd birthday!

I think he was more excited than it appears!  :)

 Excited little boy!  :)

 Sleepy boy!  :)

And more trains to play with!  :)
