Another Thumb Sucker?

AJ tries so hard to find his thumb...he has been successful a couple times, the first his fingers were in his eyes, but he was contented so his eyes remained shut as he sucked his thumb.  Usually he finds his fingers and if he's lucky the thumb will make it in his mouth.  I took these this morning...he did find his thumb, but sneezed and lost it!  :)

Go Pack!

Celebrating another Packer win!

Who Knew?!?

Early this summer my grandma gave me her sewing machine...and toward the end of the summer I got a couple lessons from my mom on how to use it.  Well...since I've been a "stay at home mom" these days, the creative juices have been flowing!  I have made a ton of fabric headbands, a surprise for the kids for Christmas (stay tuned), and yesterday I made these little travel packs for Finley and Ace.  They are not perfect, but I am pleased with how they turned out!

Blue Eyes???

Where did AJ get his blue eyes...and will they darken as he gets older?

Thanks Uncle Mike

I finally took Ace shopping for his Halloween treat from Uncle Mike...he happily chose a Thomas book!  Thomas has been a big hit in our house lately with Ace!

The book makes noises...and has flaps!  Two of his favorite things!  :)

Mommy's Boy

Ace and I have very similar taste buds...we both love black olives, peppers, pickles, pineapple...I could go on and on!  Last night at supper he and I shared some black olives and without showing him, this is what he did...

He was VERY proud of himself!

 Showing his big sister!

And finally eating the olive!

Trucks!

Our neighbors tapped into the city gas line earlier this week...Ace was very excited to see all the work trucks, diggers, etc. in front of our house working!  It was difficult for him to sit still on Tuesday at supper knowing the trucks were outside working.  After he finished eating we allowed him to pull a chair to the window to watch.  I don't know how much he was able to see in the dark, but he stood there patiently while they finished up their work.

Gotta Love Those Smiles!

Feeding Baby Brother

Sunday night was an exciting evening...Finley and Ace got a chance to feed AJ a bottle!  They both jumped at the chance to do so and sat very still while they held AJ and the bottle.  AJ has done very well taking the bottle and I know when I return to work on the 28th, he will be just fine at daycare!

"Look What I Did!"

The other night Finley yelled from the basement for me to come down to see what she did for Ace...

She proudly showed me how she covered him in toys while he sat patiently on the couch...

I am very thankful these two get along...and cannot wait to see AJ running around with them!

Finley, you are such a nice girl!  I love you!

Two Baths in ONE Night!

Brent and I have struggled to get Ace to take a bath for the past couple months.  Every bath has been a battle.  But last night was a different story...It was a battle to get him OUT of the tub!  So he took matters into his own hands...

And decided to take another bath...in his jammers!

Finley of course thought it was VERY funny...

And wanted to take a bath in HER jammers!

We allowed Ace to splash for a few minutes in the cold water...hopefully he's past the kicking and screaming stage and will again enjoy tubby tub time!  :)

Snuggle Time

Enjoying a Saturday afternoon in Mommy & Daddy's bed...why wasn't I invited?  :)

Silly Hat & Silly Hair Night

Last night was Silly Hat & Silly Hair night at AWANA.  I was thankful that Finley asked for 10 ponytails because I didn't know what we would do to make her hair look "silly" without using product.  The 10 ponytails worked and our little girly left feeling "silly"!  :)

Checking out the results in the mirror...

Showing Mommy & Daddy the back...

 Satisfaction!

Ready to go!

The verse Finley learned for last night:  I am wonderfully made!  Psalm 139:14

AJ and I had doctor appointments this morning.  We are both healthy...thankfully, he is the only one growing!  :)  His weight put him in the 92%, height in the 40%, and head was average at 51%.  She said to expect another growth spurt soon - this time in length!
