Home!

As much and Brent and I enjoyed our time away...we couldn't wait to get home to see our precious kiddos!

 Smiley boy!
 Happy girl!
Finley attempting to master the art of hula-hooping!
Daddy tried showing her, but he doesn't have the skills either!
Looking better Finley!  I would have tried to show her, but I have an unfair advantage right now!  :)
 These two love their swingset!
The bench swing has been a big hit lately!
He couldn't figure out how to get on this swing...
 And that's okay with me!
 I also missed Lambeau...
 And I guess Rookie too!
 Peek!
 Happy to be home!
 Raspberries!
I was pitching the softball to Finley...I love the concentration on her face!
Intense!

On Saturday afternoon we headed to Eau Claire to attend a wedding reception of Jason, one of Brent's HS classmates...

Alone Time

Brent and I took Friday off from work to enjoy some time away as a couple before we welcome baby boy #2.  We headed down toward the WI Dells around 8:30 am...only to have our vehicle break down about an hour south of Medford.  So around 12:30 pm (and $300 later) we continued to head south!  We found the condo that we were staying at and then headed into the Dells to walk around and do some shopping.  It was a relaxing day...even if it didn't go as planned!

On Saturday morning we took advantage of the beautiful weather and played a game of mini golf.
This is true...Brent lost his ball in the water (he's the only person I know that does that almost every round of mini golf he plays)!
We don't know who won because Brent "forgot" to record the score on one hole...that tells ME that I won!  :)
This is a photo of the clubhouse for the golf course where our condo was located.
Brent said this is a replica hole of a PGA course

Who Knew?!?

I got a couple sewing lessons from my mom while she was in town.  I had attempted to recover a pillow about a month ago, but had trouble threading the machine...so after we dried our tears from laughing so hard at my previous work...she took the time to show me how to properly thread the machine and also explained the importance of the "bobbin" thread!  HA!

In no time I had recovered a pillow...I'll bet you can't even tell which one?!?  (HINT:  The middle pillow is MY work!)

My goal for the week was to recover Finley's old PINK glider with a color scheme that would go with Brent's and my bedroom.  I am so happy with how the chair turned out!  My mom sprayed the white finished wood an ivory color and I made the new slip covers for the cushions!

Church in the Park

On Sunday we enjoyed a beautiful church service in the city park.  The weather was perfect!

Patiently waiting and sitting very nice in their chairs...about 5 minutes before service began!

Tickling Jeremy!  I think this was after Ace fell out of his chair and rolled down the hill...but thankfully rolled right into Jeremy's back!  :)

Where Did That Puddle Come From?

My kids (and maybe ALL kids) have the amazing ability to find a puddle at any given moment...even if they have to make it themselves!  Ha!

I don't know where this puddle came from, but within minutes they were both totally soaked and dipping their heads in the puddle...and then both cried because they got water in their eyes!  Do you think I had sympathy for them???

On to the next thing!  Playing with his cement mixer...love the red, Kool-aid mustache!

Family Fun

We didn't have daycare last week for our kids, so my parents graciously took time from their work days and came to WI for a week!  We enjoyed all the home cooked meals, extra hands in the a.m. & p.m., and "daycare" from 8-5!  It was a special time for the kids and I think Grandma & Grandpa too...they will feel that way too when they are rested and recovered from chasing the busy kids all week!  :)

Mommy & Ace

Daddy & Finley

 Lounging...

The kids enjoyed the beautiful WI weather last week and spent a lot of time with Grandpa at the swingset!

This bench swing has a calming effect on Ace...

I think he could easily nap there!

Thanks Mom and Dad for all the love you showed each of us last week!

We miss you already and are counting down the days until October...for MANY reasons!  :)

That Daddy!

Does anyone else have a hubby that chases the kids around the driveway with a leaf blower?

They both screamed and laughed so hard!

And Brent laughed pretty hard too!

SWING!

Brent took Finley to the store the other night and came home with a tee-ball set.  So the kids have enjoyed hitting the ball off the tee, throwing the ball around, hitting each other with the bat, etc.  :)

Patient little brother waiting his turn...

 Finley showing Grandpa her skills!

 Getting a lesson from Daddy!

Keep your eye on the ball Finley!

I think she is standing on the "wrong" side of the plate!
